To go with your set of mugs, Mt. Pleasant Pottery has introduced a serving pitcher in your choice of 2 sizes. Etched with the artist’s popular leaf pattern, this pitcher is great for passing the iced tea at the dinner table, or holding the water at your home bar. Choose between the popular blue and celadon glaze, or the blue with red glaze. Have a wedding coming up? The pitcher would make a great bridal shower gift, and matching bowls or mugs would be perfect for the wedding gift. A discount applies on orders of more than one. Because each piece of pottery is made by hand, all will have very slight variations and this is not to be considered a defect.

About the Artisan: Carol Schmoock of Freeville, New York, fell in love with the process and rhythm of throwing pottery many years ago. She works in stoneware that is wheel thrown and altered using various techniques such as fluting, carving, stamping and altering the clay. After selling her work for several years, she joined Handwork, Ithaca’s Cooperative Craft Store, and became its manager. She is excited to now be working in a beautiful new studio and trying new shapes, techniques and glazes. Carol has created a presence in the world of handcrafted pottery and her distinctive work has been appreciated for both its function and beauty.
